What BotScore is

BotScore is an automated resume-scoring tool. You upload a resume and name a target role; the text is extracted and sent to a language model, which returns a score from 0 to 100, a breakdown by dimension, and a short list of suggested fixes.

Using the site means you accept these terms. If you don’t, don’t upload anything. How your data is handled is a separate document — see the privacy policy.

No guarantee of an interview or a job

A BotScore is our own estimate, produced by a language model. It is not a measure of how any particular company’s applicant tracking system will treat your resume, and it is not a prediction of what a recruiter will do with it.

• We do not guarantee an interview, a callback, a job offer, or any other employment outcome — before or after you follow our suggestions.
• No employer, recruiter, job board or ATS vendor endorses these scores, validates them, or receives them from us.
• Scores can move. The same file can score differently as the underlying models and our scoring rubric change, and a different score is not a defect.

The score is not professional advice

The score, the breakdown and the suggested fixes are information, not professional advice. They are not career counselling, recruiting advice, employment advice or legal advice, and nothing on this site creates a professional relationship between us. Decisions about your applications are yours.

Your account and who can use this

You can scan one resume without an account. Creating an account gives you saved history and the full breakdown; you can sign up with an email address and a password, or continue with Google.

You are responsible for the account and for keeping access to the email address behind it, since that address is how a password is reset. BotScore isn’t intended for anyone under 16, and we don’t knowingly create accounts for them.

Acceptable use and scan caps

Use BotScore the way it is meant to be used:

• Upload only a resume you have the right to upload — your own, or one you have permission to submit. Don’t upload someone else’s personal information without their say-so.
• Don’t upload documents that aren’t resumes, and don’t upload content that is unlawful or that you don’t hold the rights to.
• Don’t script, scrape or bulk-submit scans, and don’t try to work around the caps by rotating addresses, sessions or accounts.
• Don’t try to manipulate the model through text hidden in your file, or probe the service for vulnerabilities.

Scanning is capped: anonymous scans are limited per day, and accounts have a daily scan limit too. Every scan costs us a model call, which is the entire reason the caps exist. We can rate-limit, suspend or refuse access if usage looks automated or abusive.

Your resume stays yours

Your resume stays yours. You keep every right you already had in it, and uploading it here transfers nothing to us.

By uploading, you give us permission to do the specific things needed to score it: read the file in memory, extract its text, and send that text and your target role to the model providers who produce the score. The file and its text are not stored; the resulting score and its supporting fields are. The privacy policy lists every field of that record.

Availability is best effort

BotScore is an early product offered on a best-effort basis. We don’t promise any level of uptime, and we don’t promise the service will be available when you want it.

Scoring depends on third-party model providers. When they are rate-limited or unavailable, a scan can fail — in that case we tell you plainly and let you retry rather than inventing a score. Features can change, move or be withdrawn as we learn what works.

There is no paid plan yet

There is no paid plan at the moment. Where you see a price on a button, that button is measuring whether a paid plan is worth building.

• Clicking it records your interest, along with the price that was shown.
• It does not create a subscription, does not take a payment, and does not collect card details.
• A price shown in that context is an indication, not an offer, and it can change.
• If we launch a paid plan, you will see its terms and its price and have to agree to them before anything is charged.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

BotScore is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. That includes any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost opportunities, lost applications, lost job offers or lost earnings arising from your use of BotScore or from any decision you made because of a score. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us for the service — which, as set out in §8, is nothing.

Ending your access

You can stop using BotScore whenever you like. We can suspend or end access if these terms are broken — most realistically, for the automated abuse described in §5.

There is no self-serve account deletion screen yet. To have your account and its records deleted, ask through the contact form. What deletion does and does not remove is spelled out in the privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Continuing to use BotScore after a change means you accept the revised terms; if you don’t, stop using the service and ask us to delete your account.
